E-E-A-T Score

How Upranke evaluates Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust signals on your content.

What E-E-A-T means

  • Experience — content that shows first-hand use: real screenshots, real numbers, lessons from actually doing the thing.
  • Expertise — depth and accuracy, ideally from identifiable authors with credentials in the subject.
  • Authoritativeness — being recognised by others: mentions, links, and citations from respected sites in your field.
  • Trust — accuracy and transparency: who you are, where claims come from, and whether the content is honest about limitations.

The framework comes from Google's quality guidelines, but it maps almost one-to-one onto what makes an AI engine comfortable citing a source.

How Upranke scores it

Upranke analyses the brand's site and content against those four dimensions and rolls the result into an E-E-A-T score, with the weaker dimensions called out so you know what to fix first.

Why it matters for GEO

Models repeat sources they can defend. When an assistant chooses what to cite, the practical question is "can I trust this page enough to put it in my answer?" — and E-E-A-T signals are how that trust gets established. A strong score doesn't guarantee citations, but a weak one quietly disqualifies you.

Improving your score

  • Put real authors on your content, with bios and credentials.
  • Cite your own sources and keep facts current.
  • Earn third-party coverage — reviews, press, and expert mentions.
  • Add first-hand detail generic competitors can't fake.
