What it is
The AEO Tag is a small script you paste once, before </body>, on your site. It injects JSON-LD structured data — the machine-readable markup AI systems and search engines use to understand who you are — without you touching your templates. Schemas are generated for your brand: Organization, WebSite, FAQPage (built from your tracked prompts), and LocalBusiness where relevant.
Smart injection
The tag doesn't blanket every page with everything. Using your latest crawl, it decides per page:
- Homepage — Organization and WebSite schema.
- Pages with no FAQ — FAQPage schema built from your prompt data.
- Thin pages (under ~300 words) — a minimal Article schema.
- Already covered — if a page has a schema type, the tag doesn't duplicate it.
Setting it up
The tag can only be generated for a verified domain.
Click "Generate AEO Tag" — Upranke builds the schema set from your brand data.
Copy the script snippet and paste it before </body> on your site — once, site-wide.
The stats line — page views and injections — confirms the tag is running on real traffic.
Managing it
You can Regenerate after brand changes, and Pause/Resume at any time — a paused tag serves an empty script, so nothing breaks on your site. After every site crawl, the schemas regenerate automatically so injection decisions stay current.
Crawl first, then generate. The smart-injection decisions come from crawl data — run a Site Crawler scan before generating so the tag knows exactly which pages need what.
